An Alaskan favorite! Many locals prefer the delicate white flesh of this bottom fish to even the ever popular halibut. Alaskan Lingcod is widely enjoyed for its very light texture and mild flavor. Caught by local fishermen on the rocky reefs surrounding the coastline of the Kenai Peninsula. These fish are harvested in small quantities, and when available are considered a delicious treat. Portion sizes vary from 1/4lb up to 1lb each.

Alaska Fish vs. Box Store Fish

Well, there is nothing better than fresh fish right off the boat or line! This is not the first time I have ordered, but it is still a fresh off the boat taste that cannot be beat. Who knows how long thing sit in the freezer here in the lower 48 before some unlucky soul comes and buys it!. Keep fishing and keep shipping...as good as being there on the sound! Steve
